Just home from saying goodbye to Buddy Bag, who played their last show (at least for a while) tonight at Stanford House before 2/3 of them move to New York for a bit. They played three perfect shows in their short lifespan, all in the last month, and I don't even have a website to direct you to though maybe if we're lucky they'll quick throw together a tape and then I'll link to that. Listening to them makes me feel a little like when I first heard grunge in high school, so it was beyond rad when they closed with Nirvana's "Tourette's" tonight and everyone thrashed around like crazy despite the sweaty freak heat wave going on at this moment. Totally exhilarating. And now I'm going to go lie out on my lawn for a while, because this is the last night in about six months I'll be able to do that without tempting hypothermia.
