If you haven't made it to Yerba Buena to see Bay Area Now 6 yet you'd best hustle on over there, especially because they'll be closing the upstairs portion of the show on September 21 already to start installing their next exhibition and if you miss seeing Chris Fraser's amazing piece up there you will cry. BAN is always something of a mixed bag, and everyone you want to be included never is. That said, this is the strongest group of artists I can remember ever seeing in the exhibition, and it made me excited about everything that is going on in the Bay Area all over again. There are still a bunch of live events happening in conjunction with the show this month too, including a light and sound performance orchestrated by Mauricio Ancalmo, a metal concert courtesy of Ben Venom, and Big Art Group's site-specific multimedia work The People: San Francisco out at Z Space. Hook in.
