forget it

It was a rollicking Saturday night last night at Cafe Du Nord when the fabulous Holly Golightly performed a straight-up country set on their wee stage with the Brokeoffs.  Said Brokeoffs is really just one guy, Lawyer Dave, who plays guitar while seated at an ingenious hydraulic drum kit he operates with his stockinged feet.  Holly herself was resplendent in a neck-to-toe blue velvet gown that looked like it belonged in the wardrobe department of Knott's Berry Farm, and she paused to crack jokes in her native British accent before turning the twang back on for her songs.  She totally rules.
